WE ARE CONNECTED

We are connected... to all things, big and small... infinite to ephemeral... from the beginning and beyond, we all remain as one. We dwell within a great universal web, interacting with all things as we swim in the sacred infinity of what we recognize as life.  Many times we question our own importance and reflect on where we fit within the grand scheme in the universe?

As the Sun and Moon wheels its path around Mother Earth; we too, spin an elliptical trail around them.  Within all this vastness, we remind ourselves we are never alone. Once again we are inspired by the beauty of the great mystery of life.

When we gaze upon the stars and see each form of light in the night sky, somewhat like a dot connecting all that we are, revealing secrets of untold eons of time on Mother Earth, reaching desperately for the stars and  question if they gaze upon us with scorn or adulation.

Omnipotent?  Not you or I.  No pretentious thoughts that our existence is greater than another.  Shall my  human brothers/sisters, the buffalo, bear, wolf, coyote, elk, cougar of eagle consider themselves greater or lesser than us?   Shall sacred tree's view us as something more or less, as we warm our frail body with their burning timbers?

The human lives within the substance of a physical body, desperately seeking within our torrid passions for the door way to our soul, so we may continue our walk upon the sacredness of MOTHER EARTH.  We each should be deeply concerned with our PERSONAL future as well as the future of our world.

In today's times many people dream of the time when life was simple and all things existed as one.  Ask yourself, what has happened to humankind? Why are we separated from life? Why does the human race place itself above all. What has happened to the equal rights for all life forces? So many questions, the numbers are irrelevant, for there are many more to come, each one offering another view, another piece to place within the on-going puzzle of sacred life.

When I enter an Inipi, it seems the darkness envelopes my life as I stare into the red glow of heated stones, inhaling the sweetness of the aromatic herbs releasing my mundane thoughts into nothingness as my soul fills with peace.

Many times, my mind ask the universe to reveal the secrets to my many questions, where the abstract suddenly becomes real.

The Inipi is a humbling experience as the steam rises, embracing our bodies  filling the tiny place with darkness as we cry out in prayer for Creator  to help us fulfill our needs, visions, dreams and healing needs.  The sacred songs fade into another round, as the light peers through an open door, waiting for the fire chief or chieftress to bring in more hot stones. Earthly smiles appear on peaceful faces as they extend themselves to a realm of multi-sensory human stillness. How humble we become as we embrace all that is as we offer our love to Wakan Tanka amidst the seemingly fragile willow frame, criss-crossing into forms of the geometric patterns touching the above worlds where the human and stone embrace a joining.

Voices sing in the old traditional songs revealing the secrets of all time as we reflect on the Sacred stone people, remembering the beginning of life on Mother Earth. So joyous are these songs, the human souls becomes one  in a universal bliss within another realm of dimension, to explore as we release our earthly ties and travel to the spirit world. A hand lifts another dipper of sacred water to pour upon the stones as clouds of steam rise, creating the purity of air to match a peaceful heart and mind.

Everything is connected within the Inipi, allowing each human to feel and embrace the great mystery of the universe, where dark and light live as one. We learn much within these willow branches as we embrace, the web of life that connects everything through the hot stones, creating clouds of rising steam, sending us out of our body to connect to the spirit world where nothing stands between human and creator.

The Inipi  is a place to give thanks to Wakan Tanka for all life and pray for spiritual guidance in all that you are. Within the grand scheme of all  life, there is a connection, from the smallest microbe to the largest galaxy.

This  web extends beyond, beyond, touching all within the many universes. Remember, to always look beyond yourself, using the power of love far beyond the ego and your external senses.  Keep a peaceful smile on your face and allow a flow of gentle sweetness come from your heart as you walk with a pure mind, body, and soul in your daily life.

MY WORK IS NEVER DONE.

We finally completed the tile. They shine so bright I can see my reflection. The Mommie is still taking her computer lessons from Jim Sims who is a dear friend of mine. He says she is a quick and a fast learner. Well I question this. She constantly talks to herself, while I sit patiently by her desk trying to correct her. You see, she keeps poorly written notes and confuses herself. At times, her computer frustrations are very hard on my nerves.

The weather in Las Vegas is frightful. I am sure you know we have had to lightening storms, flooding and rain. How can I possibly go out side to do my business? I hesitate at the door and what does the Mommie say, You are not made of sugar and you won't melt in the rain. I know that!  So, if I wait long enough, she gets very frustrated goes out with me.

Would you believe she has started another project? She is getting the living room re-painted and removing the carpet and is having new tile laid on the living room floor. This means, I can't go in the living room until this project is completed. The biggest question I have is; where are my soft places to take an afternoon nap.

I heard by the grape vine, Jake is happy being with his daddy, but he is very frustrated trying to teach his two younger brothers some protocol.

Corky, a Dalmatian is a good kid, but kind of slow. Then, there is hound dog, named Boo. He thinks he knows everything and tries to run everyone's business.

I told Jake, since you are the oldest dog in the house, it is time you demand the respect you deserve and sat strong boundaries with these adolescent pups. Well, he now bites and growls forcing them to obey his rules. I thought you would like to know, Jake is finally the boss of his own home.
